Bribery Works
So as you know we haven't been sleeping well because of these darn teeth. Saturday was heck and took us all Sunday to recover. Well last night Andrew told Jackson that if he slept all night he would buy him a Tigger toy. Well lets just say I didn't wake up until 7 this morning and the first words out of my mouth were "Thank you Jesus." So I figure its either 1. Jackson is feeling better 2. His teeth aren't bothering him anymore 3. He was exhausted from only having a 30 min afternoon nap or 4. He understood how to manipulate Andrew into buying him a toy :) So lets just say tonight when we went to Walmart to get Halloween candy Jackson got to pick out a Tigger. He loves it so much!
Today Andrew worked from home because I had to go back to the doctor for an ultrasound. I have had pains and a bulge in my side from where I had my surgery last year. So thankfully the ultrasound didn't show anything out of the normal. The doctor called radiology and they suggested a CT scan if the problem doesn't get better. So what Dr. Turner is thinking is that maybe I didn't get time to fully heal from when I had surgery, then went back to work and then went through child birth. So things in your body stretch and move around and things are trying to find their right place and trying to heal. I am also not use to carrying around 20 lbs of Jackson with me where ever I go. HE is my new 20lb appendage. So I have to start doing more abdominal exercises to firm up and make those muscles stronger and see if that helps. If it doesn't get better or gets worse then we will do a CT scan in January. Fingers crossed that it will get better!
In other news I have been learning to use my embroidery machine and Andrew took this picture of my first finished thing. I embroidered Jackson's name on his blankie:)
Tomorrow we are going to carve our pumpkins so those pictures should be cute! Enjoy the pictures of Jackson, Daddy and Tigger:)

6 month check up
On Friday Jackson had his 6 month checkup. He had a little fever when we got there. He weighed in at 18.5 lbs and was 27 3/4 inches long. He is still in the 90th percentile in his height. Poor little guy had 4 shots including the flu shot. With him not feeling well already the shots didn't help at all. Since we got back from the doctor Jackson has been fussy and still having a low grade fever. So it could be: a cold, his 2nd tooth coming in, reaction to shots. I'm not worried, but maybe that is because I am currently unable to think straight since I haven't slept in over a week. He had me spoiled with sleeping through the night for so long and then bam! I know he doesn't feel well but the doctor said that once he starts feeling well and if he is still waking up in the morning it could be that he is just getting use to waking himself up at night. Oh well, I can now definitely see how people drink coffee. I am considering taking up this form of drug to keep me sane...or I guess I can kick up my Coke intake *the drink that is*
In other news my sewing/embroidery machine came in yesterday. For those of you that don't know I am trying to take this up as a new hobby possibly career. So I got it yesterday and with all of Jackson's drama I didn't get to play much on it. It was sort of like waking up Christmas morning as a kid and opening your favorite present and then your parents won't let you play with it. Andrew has been great taking care of Jackson and letting me have a few minutes to run some errands and play on my machine. I love him so much and don't know how I'd do this without him. I'll keep you posted on Jackson:)

Pumpkins!
We have been loving this fall weather! Andrew got to finally cut some of the wood from some trees we cut down and I got to dress up Jackson and take is pictures outside! Enjoy the pics! In other news Jackson's tooth is still coming through and he still isn't sleeping well. I think that I am getting use to not sleeping. Jackson is becoming more and more full of personality! Last night he laughed forever and so hard at Paris. I would throw Paris' toy on the couch and she'd jump up to get it and Jackson thought it was hilarious! He is very curious about his toys and wants to play with each one of them at the same time...and explore them by putting them in his mouth! I can't believe he is growing up so fast!

Kids Castle Park
So Monday, sticking with a tradition ;) we took Jackson to Kid's Castle Park in Newnan. Jackson got to swing and go down a slide for the first time. Maybe he'll enjoy it a little more when he gets older. He just looked around and soaked up everything around him!
Yes he did lick the swing...oh well...

Response to Andrew's blog
So I encouraged Andrew to contribute to the blog and he did the bestest job and cracked me up! Hopefully we can do more like that. Anyway in response to his blog, I give Andrew bookoos of points for actually telling me that the stroller broke. I couldn't imagine me being alone with Jackson in the Target parking lot and pulling out the stroller and a wheel go flying across the parking lot! So I was out on Saturday when Andrew called and the way he was talking on the phone (you know how you set up the situation for someone before you confess something happened?) and he said "well I wanted to take Jackson for a walk so we could watch the planes fly by(airshow was going on) on this nice day and I had Jackson in one arm and I was trying to pull open the stroller with the other one when..." All I could think was no Jackson got hurt! But thankfully he was just telling me about the stroller. He acted like he was scared I was going to be upset about the stroller. I wasn't mad at all. We bought that on what is called an impulse buy. Or as Andrew says "I wanted a TV you wanted a stroller" Last year he was trying to convince me to get a TV while we were at Target and he knew that I was really wanting a stroller so he sold me on the idea by letting me pick out one a Target. We SOOO should have done research on that one! Anyway I want to end this part by saying I have the most wonderful husband in the world for calling and telling me and thank God he didn't duct tape it. I don't know which would have been worse...opening up the stroller in the parking lot and the wheel go flying across the parking lot or pulling it out to find that the wheel is duct taped on and that I couldn't' make left hand turns....oh joy!
On a Jackson note...he FINALLY, FINALLY has a tooth that is poking its head out! Gesh if we have gone through all of this for a tiny tooth, we have a long road ahead! Also you may know I just recently taught myself to knit. Well I just finished my first baby hat...as you can see by the pictures this one is a wee bit too small for Jackson...maybe a newborn? Jackson looks Jewish...(I didn't say that to offend anyone).
Also we got to have dinner last night with Andrew's parents and with Uncle Mark. We had fun and it was nice to get in a visit!
Tonight if the weather gets better we are going to try to take Jackson to Kids Castle Park for the first time! That should be fun!

Saturday with the fam
This is Andrew. Crystal has decided to let me update it tonight since she was tired.
Jackson woke up in such a good mood today! His teeth seemed to be doing a little better. After the usual morning affair, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Winnie the Pooh...we started the day by attempting to make it to the EMC "get stuff free conference 2008" but upon our arrival discovered most people living in the Coweta/Fayette area already beat us there. SO...we decided not to go. In the afternoon Crystal mentioned that she was considering going shopping in Fayetteville so I encouraged her to go. This was great in two ways. 1) Crystal got some much deserved alone time and 2) I got some one on one time with Jackson. So while Crystal was out having fun Jackson and I took a drive (he slept..I drove), defended the house from the fighter jets that were part of the air show, and...I managed to break Jackson's stroller. Rather than wait for Momma to come home to find the stroller, now only with three wheels, (I contemplated either 1) Duct tapping the wheel back on or 2) Slipping it back on only to allow Crystal to think she broke it in a day or two when she needed it) I called her and confessed. Yes, I got the "I told you to be careful with it" speech but she was really understanding in the long run. I love my wife so much!
The rest of the day was a blast. Just simple, fun, time together...Crystal, Jackson, Paris, and me!

Great Vacation Day!
Today Andrew took a vacation day! It was great having him home when he didn't have to work or do anything but things he wanted to do. So far the day has been great. I had to get up early to go to the doctor. Everything is good except my doctor has scheduled an ultrasound for the end of this month. I still have swelling from my surgery back last December when I had my cyst and ovary removed. So she just wants to make sure everything is okay. She thought it may be a small hernia but we shall see. Now she has prescribed me to do more abdominal exercises...oh joy just what I love! Anyway Andrew stayed with Jackson while I went to the doctor. When I got back we went to Chick-fila for lunch. There we got to finally try out Jackson's portable highchair strap on thingie. It worked great, he loved it, but for me it was hard to get out. So I will only use it if someone is with me b/c I couldn't hold Jackson and fix the chair! He LOVED it though!
Then we went to Target to get more formula and dog food and some wedding gifts for peeps. It seems like that is all we do now is go to wedding showers and baby showers! After that I got to show Andrew the Red Door Consignments. He liked it. We got Jackson new Gap jeans and a new pair of striped pants...tooooo cute!
Then we came home and our garage door wouldn't open. So come to find out a spring broke and we are waiting for the garage door repair guy...another unexpected cost, oh joy! Well, Jackson walked in his walker outside while Andrew cut some wood with his chainsaw.
He is now jumping his heart out so he can get tired and take a nap!!!!
Oh, I forgot, the airshow is happening this weekend so it sounds like we are being invaded! The planes are so close to our house its crazy! But while we were on our back porch watching the planes we spotted this spider eeekkk!

Sleepless nights...I thought that was so 4 months ago...
Okay so my little angel hasn't been sleeping too well. I have tried everything. I have tried shortening his nap, letting him jump his heart out in the Johnny Jump, and not giving him sweet fruit for dinner. So after about a full week of this I am sleep deprived and groggy during the day and my little angel some how has the energy of Tigger. So in a shorter version lately Jackson is his normal Tigger self and I am so Eore! Getting up every two hours was so four months ago. Jackson has always been a great sleeper and has been sleeping through the night forever. He also teased me for about a month of letting me sleep until 9. Then all of a sudden it was wham bam wake up ma'am. The thing is he isn't hungry and he is like still asleep when he "wakes" up. He wakes up crying and as soon as you put his passy in he falls asleep. So we play this game every two hours...if I am lucky I get to play again before I get back in bed! Hopefully this is him teething. Of course I have been all over the Internet trying to diagnose the problem and everything for this age points towards teething or ear infection and he doesn't really show all the signs for an ear infection. So maybe this little booger of a tooth will finally pop out and grace us with its presence. Then I guess we can look forward to instead of being gummed to death he will be trying to literally bite us! Oh joy! On a positive, funny note Jackson is now fully aware he has feet and is constantly holding them and biting his big toe...LOL! I love my little man.

First visit to the park
Sorry I haven't updated as much lately. Jackson is growing up and tends to be more demanding on some days. So back by popular demand (Mark), I am updating the blog. This weekend was great. We finally bought Jackson a new car seat. He is getting so big and his other one he gets really uncomfortable and it is just pitiful so we after much research we finally settled on one. Andrew walked in and was completely sold on the Britax and with all the safety features and ease of putting it in the car I was sold on it too. Now of course it wasn't the cheapest of the seats but can you really put a price on safety? Well last night Jackson didn't sleep very well. And today he napped but when we was awake he was screaming, therefore I think that we are full fledged teething, guess we will see. Since I had a "rough" day when Andrew got home we ran some errands and took Jackson to the park in Peachtree City by the lake. Jackson loved looking at the lake and he really liked looking at the geese and ducks.
We did unfortunately have a casualty, Jackson's passie fell into the lake...since it rolled in duck poo we decided we would just donate it to the lake. Maybe when we go back some lucky duckling will have it in his mouth.
We wanted to swing and go down the slide but the playground was packed! Maybe during the day we will go and have more space. Enjoy the pictures. I will try to take a picture of Jackson in his new car seat soon. Here is what Jackson looked like after all was said and done. He was in his old car seat b/c we took Andrew's car and we didn't feel like taking the other car seat out.

Thursday and Friday
Yesterday Jackson and I went up to Jefferson Parkway and saw some of our friends there. It was great to see everyone! I missed being there with everyone....but then after talking to everyone and hearing how crazy everything is with new curriculum and state standards I'd much rather be with Jackson all day! We did a little shopping afterwards. We went to Kohl's and Jackson got a Curious George stuffed animal. Today we got up super early and went to the hospital to see Granddaddy. He had tubes put in his ears and I think Jackson being there made his day. After we left the hospital we went over to my parents house and me and Jackson spent the day with them. I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend with Jackson and Andrew:)
