I love my silly boy!

Sometimes the smallest things can make Jackson so happy...like finding one of Eva Kate's hats...and loving it!

OMG

Last night for dinner I fed EKC chicken and apples for the first time. She LOVED it! We topped it off with pears for dessert. After we ate dinner we needed to make a quick run to Publix to pick up something from the pharmacy. On the drive over I kept asking Andrew "Do you smell that? What is that smell?" Now those of you with kids know where I am heading with this one...actually you probably suspected something when I mentioned the chicken and apple combo!

So we pull into the parking lot, Andrew gets Jackson out and I am in charge of getting EKC out. As I unbuckle her I see that her pink shorts are not so pink anymore....how can I say this nicely....poop was everywhere it wasn't suppose to be. Thank God I grabbed the diaper bag before we left because I almost left it thinking "this is a fast trip nothing will happen." I learned that you should always be prepared, always have the diaper bag, always have tons of wipes in the car and carry a plastic bag! All we could do is laugh because frankly it is quite hilarious Jackson sitting in the back of the pilot while I am cleaning up EKC and Andrew is just scrubbing her car seat in the middle of the Publix parking lot. In the end, all was clean and I was very thankful that Andrew went with me. I don't know what I would have done if I was alone with both kids and that happened! So that was a first for us and thankfully we could laugh about it!

Here is our precious girl all cleaned up ready to go home.

The Cousins

Friday morning Jackson , Eva Kate and myself ventured out to Zoo Atlanta to meet up with the
"cousins". Jackson doesn't have any first cousins yet, so he my cousins are his "cousins" which is what he calls all of them!

We had so much fun and EKC enjoyed her first trip to the zoo!

We left the zoo early to make sure we could catch a "normal" nap before we went to the airport to pick Andrew up! Everything worked out great!

Outside Fun

Today before nap we had a few fun moments outside. I LOVE SPRING! I decided to try to get some shots of Eva Kate in the front yard, impromptu with messy hair and whatever outfit she had on. It was the first time baby was on the fresh earth. She didn't quite know what to do but loved feeling the wind blow in her wild hair and touch the scratchy grass. So instead of her normal smiling frenzy of photographs you get to see another side of EKC, curious and soaking in every moment of something new.

Also there are a few photos of Jackson on his tricycle pushing it up the hill only to ride down fast...he is such a boy!

I home you enjoy!

We have teeth!

Eva Kate finally pushed those two little boogers of teeth out a few weeks ago. I have tried and tried to get a picture of those beauties but never could...until this morning! Enjoy!

Gotta love my big boy!

Genius Engineering, and please look at the camera with a real smile!

Monday night while I was cooking dinner Jackson whirls in and grabs the dog leash as says "I need this." I think nothing of it since usually while I am cooking he is coming up with something new and imagining something great (he has an incredible imagination). While I am cooking I look down to see this:

FYI I don't let him play with the dog leash!

I keep trying to get a picture of Jackson for his birthday invite and that boy cracks me up. He will work with me for a few seconds and then gets mad. Here are a few of our attempts:)

This Never Happens...

While I was getting ready for church this morning I looked over to see this in my bed! I love them both so much. I think Jackson is finally getting comfortable around Eva Kate. I think that for so long he may have been afraid he would hurt her. So sweet!
